Celebrating Creativity, Community, and Belonging
From June 1–6, the L’Arche Calgary Art Show welcomed hundreds of visitors to cSPACE Marda Loop. We were delighted to welcome longtime supporters, family members, friends, and many new visitors who discovered the exhibition through social media, community connections, and coverage from CTV News.
CTV Calgary: Calgary art show spotlights artists with intellectual disabilitiesTogether, we sold 54 original paintings, numerous art prints, and received 25 donations, raising a total of $4,425 in support of our Tamarack Day Program Art Studio.
While the exhibition has now concluded, many beautiful pieces remain available for purchase online. Every purchase continues to support inclusive artistic programming and meaningful opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.
The exhibition featured hundreds of original works created by artists with intellectual disabilities supported by L’Arche Calgary. The overwhelming response demonstrated the power of art to build connections, celebrate creativity, and create a deeper sense of belonging within our community.

About our Tamarack Day Program Art Studio
Many of the works featured in the exhibition were created in our Tamarack Day Program Art Studio. Guided by our art teacher, Core Members explore a variety of artistic techniques while developing their own creative voices and styles.
Some pieces take months to complete, reflecting remarkable dedication, patience, and attention to detail. Through art, Core Members have opportunities to express themselves, build confidence, develop new skills, and share their gifts with the wider community.
Every artwork purchased helps sustain this important program and supports our vision of creating a world where everyone belongs.
